“Everything in the bible is true”
y Response: I am definitely religious, I love going to church every Sunday, I love sitting in the front row pew listening to each weeks message, I love that I am the reason our church now has a youth program- and that I am now a youth group leader, I love that all the Sunday-school kiddlets know and love me, and I love that I have God is a part of my everyday life. However, I do think that the quote “Everything in the Bible is true” is a really bold statement. Because it has been said that the Bible can’t be taken literally, if it was taken literally then the Beast of Revelations 13 1-10 would be true.
The messages and stories and historical recording that were set place in the Bible are set to help guide us in the best possible path for life. It is suppose to help us be the best that we can be. The Bible is not meant to be taken word for word, if it was there were many different instances of wrong done in the world, and when people take it to literally is when we get extremist and acts of terrorism. Which doesn’t seem right to me.
So I would say the Bible IS truth, not the Bible is true.
